2026-04-30Not every promotional product starts with a company’s idea. Sometimes, it begins with a customer question.
That was the case for Słoneczna Lawenda – a picturesque lavender plantation visited by tourists from all over the country.
Visitors often asked for a small souvenir from their visit. Most commonly, a fridge magnet they could collect from different places.
These questions became the starting point of the project.
As a Polish promotional products manufacturer, DECARD created 1,000 custom hard-resin magnets for Słoneczna Lawenda – in two carefully designed versions (500 pieces each) – along with an elegant, dedicated display backing card.
Challenge – creating a souvenir that captures the atmosphere of the place
The owners of the plantation had a very clear goal:
“We wanted to create a souvenir for our guests. In previous years, many people asked whether magnets could be purchased at the plantation, as they collect them from various interesting places they visit. These requests inspired us to create our own magnet that would remind them of their visit to our plantation.”
The magnet had to meet several key requirements:
- reflect the atmosphere of the lavender plantation
- accurately reproduce colors and details
- serve as an aesthetic keepsake from the visit
- also be suitable as a small gift


Metal or resin? A decision of key importance for the souvenir
The choice of material was crucial – the magnet had to not only look beautiful, but also faithfully reproduce the details and colors characteristic of the plantation. We considered both metal, which is durable and elegant, and resin, which allows for greater freedom in reproducing colors, textures, and fine details.
Ultimately, the client chose a hard-resin magnet, which proved to be the perfect solution for this project. As the plantation owners emphasize:
“The resin magnet seemed like the ideal solution to us – it allows for accurate reproduction of the details and colors that are important in the case of a lavender-themed design. Additionally, the custom backing card is a big advantage – it serves as an aesthetic packaging and at the same time as a base for the magnet itself, making the product instantly look like a finished souvenir or a small gift.”
From plantation photos to a finished product
Based on the photos provided by the client, our product designer created two original magnet designs that capture the atmosphere and details of the plantation.
In the design:
the logo was integrated into the front graphic, while a recessed engraving on the back subtly reinforces the brand identity;
we selected a rich, saturated purple resin color, perfectly matching the lavender theme;
a slightly raised, glossy graphic was created, capturing every detail – from the lavender fields to the clouds, as well as every letter in the logo; the micro-details are sharp and clearly visible;
the custom backing card serves both as an aesthetic packaging and a display base for the magnet.
All elements of the project were so well aligned with the client’s expectations that no revisions were needed. The client quickly approved the designs and decided on two versions of 500 pieces each, and the entire process ran smoothly in a friendly atmosphere.
The design and production process went very smoothly – as the client emphasizes, everything was handled quickly, and the collaboration had a very pleasant and professional atmosphere. Communication was also at a high level – responses were fast, and the entire ordering process ran without any issues.
The client particularly appreciated the final result of the project:

The result – a ready-to-take souvenir from the visit
The result of the project is two collectible magnets that visitors can take home as a souvenir of their visit. The magnet serves several functions at once:
- it is a keepsake from the visit,
- it can act as a small retail product for tourists,
- and at the same time it serves as a natural promotion of the place, reaching the homes of visitors.
