Which Pins Work Best for Corporate Events? Our Top 5 Picks
2025-10-28When SmartLunch — a company that provides employer-subsidized employee meals as a workplace benefit — approached us with the idea of creating a series of keychains shaped like their Brand Heroes, we immediately knew it would be a project with a real appetite for success. The task? To craft 1,000 Pierogi, 500 Pork Chops, and 500 slices of Pizza in 3D form.
It sounded delicious — and that’s exactly how we treated it: like a culinary recipe for a creative gadget.
Project Ingredients (a.k.a. the Client’s Needs)
- A client looking for an original way to showcase their brand.
- A solid serving of 3D technology and precise craftsmanship.
- A generous dose of creativity and humor.
- A pinch of patience during testing and adjustments.
- Branding served in an elegant, appetizing way.

Preparation (Design and Production Process)
Step 1: The Menu Comes First
Originally, the SmartLunch menu included Pierogi, Pork Chop, and Tomato Soup. However, it quickly became clear that soup wouldn’t work well as a keychain — so Pizza joined the set instead. And that was a perfect choice! The slice of Pizza added personality and a colorful “flavor” to the collection.
👉 Initial menu: Pork Chop, Pierogi, and Tomato Soup.

👉 Final menu: Pork Chop, Pierogi, and a slice of Pizza.

Step 2: Challenges in the 3D Kitchen
Each keychain had its own “secret ingredient” that needed fine-tuning.
- Resin colors – We created new shades so the Pork Chop’s breading looked golden and crispy, and the Pizza gained depth and realism.
- 3D models – Client-provided designs were adapted for production: the Pierogi achieved a perfect shape, the Pizza got balanced colors, and the Pork Chop acquired its characteristic texture.
- Branding – The SmartLunch logo needed to be visible on every keychain. When printing directly on the textured surface proved impossible, we designed elegant logo tags to maintain visual consistency across the collection.
Step 3: Printing Until Golden
Production was carried out on a large scale: 2,000 keychains meticulously crafted for realistic texture, tangible details, and balanced colors.
Miniature versions of SmartLunch’s culinary classics were made from hard, lightweight resin, featuring slightly raised 3D graphics, delicate swirls mimicking hand-shaped dough, and a dedicated logo tag.

Step 4: Taste Test (a.k.a. Tasting)
The keychains were placed alongside their real-life counterparts. The result? Some had trouble telling the 3D Pierogi apart from the one on the plate. The Pizza looked like it had just come out of the oven, and the Pork Chop? Classic at its finest — just without the calories.

Step 5: Serving the Result
The final collection features three miniature dishes full of character:
- Pierogi – simple, friendly, and instantly recognizable.
- Pork Chop in a Tie – elegant, humorous, perfectly capturing the spirit of SmartFamily.
- Pizza – colorful, appetizing, and energetic, a perfect addition to the keychain collection and a guaranteed smile for its owner.
These miniature “dishes” look delicious while telling the story of SmartLunch — with humor, personality, and branding taking center stage.
The Taste of the Summary
This project demonstrated that the more challenging the task, the more interesting the result — like a well-seasoned dish. Color tests, refined models, and the idea of logo tags resulted in keychains that look like miniature versions of real meals. Delicious, fun, and waistline-friendly — zero calories, 100% enjoyment.
