Summer is the season when events, outdoor campaigns, and marketing activations reach their peak. And that’s exactly when the same question arises—on the side of agencies, companies, and event organizers: how do you create a gadget that won’t end up in a drawer the day after the event?
The answer less and less often is „a big budget.”
More often: a good idea + personalization + a functional brand carrier.
In this post, we present TOP 5 pins that are actually used by advertising agencies, companies, and organizers of sports and corporate events – and how to choose them according to campaign goals to increase the effectiveness of marketing activities.
Why do pins still work in 2026?
Events and campaigns are increasingly based on digital solutions – from QR codes and NFC, through event apps, to interactive participant identification systems.
And yet physical pins have not disappeared. Only their role has changed.
Today, they are no longer a „small giveaway.” They are a brand communication tool that serves several specific functions:
- builds participants’ visual identity
- supports event storytelling
- leaves a physical trace of the brand experience
- becomes something participants actually wear and show
That’s why a well-designed pin still works – provided it is thoughtfully created, consistent with the campaign, and properly manufactured.
This is where personalization and production quality become crucial – from the design stage, through manufacturing, to the final product received by the participant.

What do agencies, companies, and event organizers expect from pins?
1. Advertising agencies – „I need to deliver results to the client”
Advertising agencies rarely think of a pin as a standalone product.
Much more often, it is part of a process where they need to convince the client of a concept and show that the idea has a tangible form and can actually work in reality.
In such projects, what matters most is the presentation moment – whether the visualization and sample can reflect the final campaign effect and allow further development of the project without risking loss of quality or consistency.
That’s why the most important solutions are those that:
- allow a fast presentation of the final effect in visual form
- help create a “wow” effect already at the proposal stage
- remain flexible for edits and design variations
- look like a finished campaign element, not an early-stage sample
In practice, the best-performing pins are those that already at the design stage feel like a final product – with 3D effects, cut-outs, or a clearly refined visual form that presents well in client-facing materials.
2. Companies - „we want the brand to be visible”
In companies, a pin is rarely just an add-on. Most often, it appears in moments when the brand is meant to stay with the participant for longer - both among employees and outside the organization.
Onboarding, corporate events, anniversaries, or employer branding activities all share one goal: to make the employee or participant actually feel contact with the brand, not just see it.
In such projects, the best-performing solutions are those that:
- are visually simple, but feel high-quality
- remain consistent with the brand identity
- can function as part of a larger set (e.g., with a backing card or welcome pack)
- do not look like a standard event giveaway, but like a thoughtful communication element
The most commonly chosen format is pins with a dedicated backing card - especially when the whole set is meant to feel more like part of a brand experience than a one-off giveaway.
3. Organizers - „we want participants to remember it and share it”
In sports and city events, a pin is not an accessory, but part of the participant experience. It is often one of the first touchpoints with the event, and something that stays with participants long after it ends.
In this context, emotion matters most - the moment of receiving the event kit, the start of a race, or entering the venue, when participants begin to identify with what they are part of.
Equally important is visibility - both during the event and later, when photos appear on social media and extend the event’s reach.
That’s why a well-designed pin plays several roles at once: it is a participant identifier, a souvenir of the event, and an element that continues to “work” through photos and shared content.
The best results come from solutions that:
- have a clear, distinctive visual element visible in photos
- are designed to function as a keepsake from the event
- stand out in form - e.g. through an unusual shape or 3D detail
In practice, the best-performing solutions are pins with moving elements, resin 3D designs, and custom die-cut shapes that naturally attract attention and perform well in post-event materials.

How to increase the effectiveness of promotional gadgets?
In 2026, the effectiveness of promotional gadgets is no longer measured only by how many items were distributed.
What matters is:
- how many people took photos with the gadget
- how much content reached social media
- how long the product was actually used
- whether it creates repeated brand exposure
That’s why companies increasingly combine classic solutions (e.g. pins) with digital touchpoints - QR codes, landing pages, and online campaigns.
The same applies to products such as USB flash drives - today they are not just data storage devices, but part of a broader marketing ecosystem.
Why is it worth choosing production in Poland?
Cooperation with a Polish manufacturer is not just a matter of conscious purchasing, but concrete benefits:
- quality control at every stage
- easy project communication
- production possible from 100 pieces
- flexible batch deliveries
We are a Polish manufacturer, which means the entire process - from design, through production, to delivery - takes place in one place, in Polan
Summary: a pin is not a gadget. It is a brand carrier
A well-designed pin can:
- build emotions
- strengthen identification
- support sales campaigns
- and genuinely contribute to event ROI
The key is not „what you choose”, but how you match the product to the campaign goal.
